Greetings from Canadian Business Council (CBC) Abu Dhabi! It has been a very busy and exciting year for CBC Abu Dhabi. There have been a significant number of changes and progress within the organization, which we will be reporting on at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 27 June 2018 at Hilton Corniche.
CBC Abu Dhabi have organized and participated in various events as well as supported international conferences and exhibitions in Abu Dhabi. One of our major events, the Maple Leaf Ball 2018 held on 19 April 2018 under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance was a great success and we received outpouring congratulatory messages. On membership, several companies such as Apparel Group, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Bombardier, have recently joined the Council. We have started a number of key initiatives where members can join and be part of communities of interest. And those who volunteer their time to help CBC are now recognized as CBC ambassadors.
I wish to thank CBC board members, ambassadors, staff and members for their time, energy and valuable contributions to CBC Abu Dhabi. It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as Chairman for this year and I am confident that this business year will be an even greater success!
